Does Talking Help?

Talking therapies offer people from any background and situation, the chance to be listened to and supported.  They are for anyone who is going through difficult times, emotional problems or looking for personal development.

Counselling can help you find choices - and the strength to make them - that by ourselves we might feel powerless to make.  As we talk together, the insight you will gain can become a powerful tool to better understanding yourself, your experiences and options in your life.  It can also make situations more bearable even if we can't do much about changing them.

As this study found here, many individuals find counselling the same or more effective than medication.
